Anybody else run into a limit on how many items eBay will let you post?

I have been trying to clear out some projects and have had between 30-40 items running for the past 3 weeks or so. I was posting some more tonight when I got this message:

You can not submit your listing due to the following problems

We're sorry for the inconvenience, but in order to maintain a safe trading environment, there's a limit on the number of times individual sellers can list or revise certain items in a period of 30 consecutive days.

You've reached the 30-day selling limit for the type of item you're trying to list. This isn't a reflection on your account or selling activity. These limits apply to all accounts. But it does mean you won't be able to complete this listing right now. (You can still list other kinds of items, though.)

Items that are subject to selling limits can change, so we can't be specific about which listings fall under these protective limits.

Long-time sellers with proven track records and other positive account attributes may be eligible for higher selling limits. If you believe that you would qualify, please review our selling limits page for more information.

I have a 100% feedback rating of 717 and have been a member of eBay since June 6th 2001. Are they just targeting arcade items, or is it just me?

This is to try to catch the guys who steal someone's account, list a ton of electronics/coins/etc, get the money and then disappear. The more they list when they do this, the more bites they can get and the faster they can disappear before they get discovered. An account like yours (high feedback, long time member) is a goldmine for these scammers because when people see stats like that they're less likely to get inquisitive about an auction. Unfortunately the people like yourself who are legit get bit in the ass for it, but if they didn't have that the fraud there would be even more insane.

We have a rep now that is a live person who is our account manager so it has been great to be able to call someone that some sense. They can also override thier system so call you power seller #. If you cannot find it let me know and I will get it for you.

I used to sell DVDs on eBay and would have >1000 auctions running at once. I couldn't have more than 10 of a single title running at the same time, though. As soon as one of the 10 ended I could start another.

Is this the kind of limit you are experiencing?

I just spoke with eBay customer disservice. They told me the problem was I was listing parts from an Omega Race game, and there is an often copied brand of jewelry called "Omega", so they limit everyone's ability to post too many auctions with the word "Omega" in the title. So it seems to be an matter of throwing out the baby with the bathwater.

They are suppose to remove the limit for me temporarily so I can finishing listing my auctions.
