Ebay Ad, questionable?

anybody with 3000+ positive feedbacks is probably fairly reputable. i really doubt anyone with that kind of reputation is gonna go and piss it away to rip someone off on a $19 hard drive.

You can wade through feedback for just the non-positive ones using http://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs

In this case, the guy seems to have one or two screw-ups a month. Looks like a mix of bad descriptions, shipping issues, stuff not being what it seems, etc. And a few complete wank-fests as buyers. I'd guess that he just makes mistakes on a not-irregular basis (it doesn't look to me like it's enough to be malice - more just not paying attention as well as some folks.

If I were you, and I thought $19 was good price for that HD, I'd buy it, but be sure you can test it right away.

I'd also guess that you being able to find him later to make good on that warranty is...unlikely. If you can find him, he might make good on it, but I doubt you'll be able to dig him up if it goes bad, so I'd be looking for a way to duplicate it myself.

I don't like to go by absolute rep. I've dealt with some serious bad actors on Ebay - I had one guy (no longer on Ebay) who sells whatever random junk he can come up with. He sold me an EMPTY ink-jet cartridge. Yea, that's right, he had a box of ink jet carts, put up pictures of new ones and mailed out used (in this case used up) ones. If I'd looked at his rep, I'd have seen that he had a high rep, but a low percentage, and I'd have never bought from him.

I know this guy. I got a lot of monitors from him. He's been around awhile. There's some rumor of shill bidding on some of his auction. But long story short, if I needed one, I buy from him (Plus I know where he lives :)

I got one of these from him for my blitz 2000 gold. worked perfect with no problems. recieved it pretty quick, too... I would recommend it...

It seems to me that he is selling used hard drives out of old PCs that he is formating and reselling. Doesn't say anything about coming with software.

Can't you just find a used hard drive yourself, format it, and install the software on to it?

oO i thought it was plug and play didnt know stuff was needed to be installed on it, I don't think I am purchasing the board at this moment so later on I will look for a used BLITZ drive

ebay user arcademojo is great for getting drives from. I have got 2 or 3 blitz drives and they all have worked great. Also he went out of his way once to help me after i fucked up and got the wrong version drive.

His drives are, because he almost definitely just loads them from Mame.
