Get to talking to some of the New England collectors, there are quite a bunch of us.. Some even have collections that rival funspot
Yep... once I figure out the dates that I'm going up there, I'll definitely check with you guys up there. It's always fun to stop by and hang out with other KLOVers.
Hit up The Silverball Museum in New Jersey while your leading up the east coast.
Looks cool... definitely added to the list of stops along the way.
I went last year and it was awesome fun!

That's a bit early... I'm trying for somewhere around June to August, though Allentown isn't too far... I could make the trip just for the weekend.
If you swing through Pelham, NH on your way to Laconia (Funspot) it's definitely worth stopping by the Pinball Wizard
http://www.pinballwizardarcade.com/
And since you're in Laconia, make sure to hit up the Half Moon arcade to get your 90's arcade fix

Also if you've never been to Funspot before, just be prepared for coin mechs that eat your tokens and games with busted sticks/buttons. It's certainly worth going for the experience, but for a place that touts itself as a "museum," their games can be in pretty shoddy condition.
Cool... those both look pretty sweet! And yeah, it seems that Weirs Beach has a lot of stuff to do, so I'd definitely spend some time there, and check out the Half Moon arcade.
I've never been to Funspot, but I expect broken stuff... they're preserving history by giving the authentic arcade experience!

I'm hoping for something between Crabtowne and CAX.
Seems like you are set to head North, but if you accidentally turn right onto I-95 instead of left you could hit up Gamewarp down in Orlando in July!

Heh, I definitely won't be making that drive, but I'll watch for cheap plane tickets... a long weekend in Orlando would be nice.
There's PAPA in Pittsburgh in August. It's pretty hard to outdo that one.
That looks like fun! And I could hit Kennywood while I'm in the area. Not exactly on the way up the coast though. I usually drive through there in late August, but if it gets bumped up to that weekend, I'll definitely stop in.
Or you could stop by our beach arcade (10 minutes off 95 in Connecticut) to help me get my Top Skater up and running....and then play all the games you want all day for free, on me.
Sounds good! Does your arcade have a website and address? I'm accumulating pins on a map.
You have:
Pinfest May 3-4 in Allentown, PA.
TooManyGames convention June 14-16 (
http://www.toomanygames.com/)
White Rose Gameroom show Oct 11 and 12th (pretty easy drive from Baltimore to get to York)
As far as arcades you have Yestercades in Red Bank, NJ, Barcade in Philadelphia, Pinball Gallery in Downingtown, PA (about 45-1hr outside Philadelphia).
TNT amusement and Quarterarcade are both local to Philadelphia (~45-1hr outside the city)
...and of course a bunch of us around the Philly area (on the PA and NJ sides)
Nice! Thanks for the rundown. I'll probably rent a car for the week, so I won't be picking any games up from TNT or Quarterarcade (and I've been to both in the past).
I'm also hoping to stop through a couple video game stores on the way... Digital Press Videogames store and Next Level Videogames store (owned by fellow collectors from the console side). I'm not a big fan of large cities, but I'll probably stop through NYC for the day too... maybe hit a comedy club or something.
Definitely keep them coming if there's anything else worth going to!
Thanks,
DogP
