I had a frustrating couple of days tracking down some dead jet bumpers on a Williams Earthshaker pinball. I was getting an open circuit in the red-white wire to the jet bumper coils. Traced it through the aux power driver (the source of the +25vdc). Checked out ok. Followed through the harness to the interconnect board. Pulled it out (the interconnect board) to look at it for cold solder joints and connectors. That all checked out. However, from the interconnect board to the jet bumper coils, I got no continuity on the red-white wire. After poking around the harness, I found a hidden fuseholder tucked away in a bundle of wires behind one of the jet bumper assemblies. This was a factory installed fuseholder in the red-white wire circuit. The 2.5 amp slo blo fuse was blown, but the coils checked ok.
Be advised that this fuse and fuseholder were not listed, shown, nor mentioned in the manual. It must have been added after the manuals were printed.
