I finally have everything almost working on the Earthshaker. The jet bumpers must have had a loose connection because I have them working now after reseating and cleaning all the connector pins.

Only one problem left. The upper left coil that was mounted backward was already really swollen. The sleeve would not come out. Well after rebuilding it finally died and is swollen shut. I need a new one right away. I really was trying to get this game done by Saturday because my daughter was having a birthday party here at the house and it would have made it's debut in the gameroom. I'm hoping I can make some calls to a couple ops in town tomorrow and find a green williams flipper coil or have someone ship one right away. Just don't think I can get one in time! Sucks!!!

I'm excited to finally get this thing going so I'll post pics soon!

There are a couple game room stores around here with parts departments. You can have it now but will probably pay $20 for a $10 coil. Not sure about your neck of the woods.

The coil wasn't crispy, was it? If so it might have locked on, but system 11 coils swell on their own sometimes.

No it wasn't crispy, but the old sleeve took needlenose pliers to remove. The new one was tough to put in. Now it's so swollen the flipper won't move. I should have just replaced it earlier when I noticed how tight it was. Oh well!

I have to say I'm sick of paying shipping on all of my orders. I have some cap kits on order from Bob and even those are $7 to ship. I've paid over $30 for shipping for all the parts I got for this pin. Glad I didn't need anything big.

While I would cerainly admit it's not the right way t do it, a person CAN run a coil without a coil sleeve. You'll lose some of the power from the coil simply because of slop.
Just ensure your plunger isn't mushroomed and if it is sand it smooth.

This will get your machine party ready at least.

Coil is shot ayway - and worst case scenario you order a new plunger and coil stop ;)

Great News! I found a new coil in town and just picked it up. Got it from Mega Play in Mishawaka, IN. They have a great tech there and a ton of classic games. Their pin lineup is pretty sweet. I go there to play AFM. $20 but I didn't have to ship it in. I can't wait to finish this up!
