Getting ready to remove the monitor from a Dynamo HS-5 and have some questions (monitor already discharged and safe):

Removal from the front, obviously, but am I pulling out the wood frame that it is bolted to also or just actual monitor? If pulling the wood frame out too, where is the best place to grab?

What is a rough estimate of what this weighs? Still trying to ID the monitor, but it is some sort of 25" WG.

I did some searching and the best I could find regarding monitor removal was this thread: http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=212255&highlight=dynamo+monitor

Take off the wing nuts, pull the monitor out the best way you can figure out, rotate to the right put back in, replace wing nuts. Pretty easy and one person can do it, but it is a heavy sob.

I would say disconnect the video and power cables, you might not have enough slack to pull it out far enough.

I put a 27" vga in mine a couple years ago I can't check mine, but it was pretty easy.

Wow, still having a problem getting this out. I can't seem to raise it up high enough to get the wood frame out of the groove it rests in on that horizontal piece. I couldn't figure out why it wasn't raising up higher, but it looks like maybe the back frame bar of the monitor is hitting the back of the cabinet preventing me from raising it higher.

Any ideas?

*update* monitor is out. I decided to just remove the monitor from the wood frame and pull it out that way. Not sure why I didn't think of that earlier.
