How hard is it to convert a vertical one into a normal horizontal monitor mount. I find the vert monitors pretty easily and cheap but I want a nice hori one for housing Capcom games.

thanks

The one I had was made to be able to switch back and forth. I was thinking they were all like that? Remove the bezel and the wooden frame around the monitor should have handles cut into it to make it even easier.

It should be this easy..... as long as you have a universal frame on your monitor.
If your monitor has been replaced at any point and have a horizontal monitor frame and rotate it will stick out and back door won't fit.

I do believe a cut corner cab is large enough to have a horiz. fram mounted vertically. If I'm wrong someone correct me. I'm pretty sure my standard Dynamo 19" cab had a horizontal frame mounted vertically just fine.

if you want to use a horizontal shelf mount monitor, you may have to do some hacking of the wooden monitor mount frame. a universal mount should fit into the monitor mount frame with no changes. either way, rotation is as simple as removing four screws (well, and the plexi and bezel,) and turning it whichever way you want it.

I don't believe so, at least not in my case. I converted a P.O.W. to a Guerrilla War, and the metal frame stuck out a bit. I had a spare back door bubble from an Outrun mini which I ended up attaching so I could cut out a small hole in the door.

Now, that said, the OP wants to do the opposite (vertical to horizontal), so I would imagine that should be okay.

a 19" or 25" Dynamo cab is NOT deep enough to have a shelf mount sitting vertically.

the 19K7000's that 19" dynamo's came with had special frames that were tapered and the 25" had U-frame monitors.

Universal frames are pretty easy to find, I got two off of here for $10 ea by posting in the WTB section.

The hacking that you have to do to the wood frame isn't major though, I had to swap mine because I was mounting them vertically. Horizontally, a little wood hacking is all you need.

Thanks guys.

It's actually a Vert that i want to convert to Hor so I think that the reverse is easier. I'll look for a universal mount monitor when I check out this machine. Until I go see this machine this attached shot is all i have to go with.

DOES ANYONE HAVE A PHOTO OF THE FRAME THAT I CAN REFERENCE?

Thanks so much, I love these forums.
