I have just bought a Mr. Do castle upright game and cabinet. I thought it was original but when i got it home i see there is a flyer stapled inside the cabinet for a crazy climber.

Did Mr. D castle have it's own dedicated cabinet? I like Mr. do, Crazy climber not so much, i do have a Crazy climber board should i retore it to that?

I apprecate the advise.,

Yes it did, but I think it might have also been issued as a kit...

Crazy Climber has great resale value. A nice Crazy could fetch a nice price, very hard to find in good shape. I would say 800 - 1200 depending on shape.

I would say it all comes down to how hacked up is it and do you want to do the work? Post some pics. I am sure people will offer opinions.

The hardest part for you to find is going to be the monitor glass and then the wiring harness. You have the board. Thats $100-$200. Its a great game. I would say its worth saving..

You have your answer on mr do. Yes there is a dedicated cabinet. I would guess 80%-90% were kits. So finding an actual dedicated is somewhat rare.

dont feel too bad, my first game was a mr do in a friggin gorf cab... had no clue heh...

there was a pissload of conversions out there(mr do series)

i guess it was popular with all the hacky ops or something because you see conversions all the damn time..

id do research on the crazy climber... if some of the art is still there, cab is nice, then yeah if you already got the board mabye restore it back... you could sell the mr do kit and get a little money back....

if its aslready been painted over, all art gone, cab not so good, wiring al hacked to hell, then i would just clean it upo and leave it alone....

Thanks guys the old arcade i bought it from put the Marque, Wire Harness, and Board all in the same box. Like i said i thought i was buying a Mr. do, (paid $250) for it and when i got it home i noticed a sticker with Crazy Climber on it. I'll take some photo's and post them on here. It has really cool metal/plastic T-molding i wonder if that can be purcahsed new? Looks like i will be putting it back to a Crazy Climber, wish me luck finding a glass Bezel!

Thanks for the advise everyone,

Braido...

Found out that my Crazy Climber is a dedicated Nichibutsu cabinet.

Not the one with the big curved CPO the other one.

I have already started the restoration and put in the board yesterday, it's working ok but still have to tweek the monitor a bit. I have the marquee it's in pretty good condition as it was kept in between carboard the last 15 years or so. The glass bezel was painted over with black paint but i am pretty sure i can remove the paint. I am having trouble finding a Nichibutsu CPO as all the ones i see when i google are the Taito ones. If anyone has a link where to find the Nichibutsu control panel that would be great.

Thanks,

Braido...

Here's a list off most of the games I saw in arcades, 7-11's, and othr places that were converted to Mr. Do!: Looping, Amidar, Galaxian, Centipede cabaret, Zaxxon, Qix, The End (Stern-I own this one), Gorf, Carnival, Frogger, Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr., The Pit, Vanguard, Make Trax, Wild Western (no all of them weren't made into Elevator Action's), Stratovox, Scramble, and probably many others that I can't recall right of top.
