dumb question but: what coin bulbs do I need for Karate Champ???

I have tried both 44 and 47 bulbs and they have burned out in like a day or 2 max.

In the manual I have it says they are driven off of 14.5V AC and a 1A fuse controls the circuit. When I got the game the fuse was blown. I swapped the fuse and the lights worked briefly but then the bulbs burn up.

Can someone pls tell me what I need? I can also send the manual if needed (this info is covered on pg 12 of the manual).

Thanks!

That might be your problem. The 44 and 47 bulbs are 6.3 volts. try using a 14 volt bulb.

If you send a link to the manual/schematics I can look at it for you.

Just try a auto bulb to star with and a new fuse.

To close this thread out for others looking for it in their search-fu, the required bulb is an 1893.

Hope this helps someone!

I figured they might be a different voltage than the 6.3 you were trying, espically when they blew so fast.

My good friend and I had a knuckle head that thought he had just bought the "most powerful" spot light that any human could get. We went to a neighborhood lighting store and bought a 6v aircraft landing light and hooked it up to his truck battery. Friday when he showed up, he did every Friday, and tried to turn off the street light we lit him up. We also turned off every street light on the block and it was kind of eerie. The street went from well lit to completely dark.
