Dumb question about joysticks - Happ Competition, Atomiswave Woody
I have an Atomiswave Woody that I wanted to update the joysticks in. I went ahead and ordered Happ Competition joysticks and seem to be having a slight problem.... I wanted to check if the problem was me, or the sticks.
I honestly haven't played an American style cabinet in quite some time. The last time I really played on Happ style joysticks was probably when UMK3 was in arcades...... Since then, it's been New Net City's and other JP/customized cabinets. I've gotten used to the "gumball" and being able to feel the joystick gate (ie: having the ability to significantly feel where the corners are on 4 way, octagon on 8 way).
On my new Happs - I can't feel the corners and it's really kind of !#$(!@ me up! I really want a 4 way gate feel.....
So, long story short, should I be able to feel the gate on these new joysticks? Will they "break in" eventually? Is the joystick actually designed to feel like it has a round gate?
