My knowledge of things electrical is...well, I'm special-needs; let's just put it at that.

But, do you put extra stress / voltage on other parts if you disconnect connectors which are actively sending voltage to things like lights, coin counters, etc.?

No worrys. Feel free to unplug coin door lamps, marquee lights, coin counters etc.

Just be careful that any unpluged connectors that don't have insulated covers don't short out on something metal (or another uninsulated connector). [Referring primarliy to quick-disconnects here; most other connectors have their contacts nicely recessed in plastic housings]

Thanks much. That's what I thought, but it didn't hurt to check.

I'm working with non-hacked wiring harnesses. So yeah, the contacts are well-protected.
