I know a lot of you will hate this, but I thought I would share anyway.

DISCLAIMER: The cab was converted 2 or 3 times before it came to me as an empty shell, so no harm was done to any actual classic during the making of this multigame.

The buyer is a lefty and wanted to be able to have a trackball on the left for him, and on the right for his wife. I installed a toggle switch under the CP that switches power between the left or right trackball, which can be changed on the fly.

I always thought the design of the Centipede control panel overlay was begging for more controls, and now it looks full.

Flame away!

While many will claim this as blasphemy, I think it is very nicely done. Clean layout, not hapazardly placed coontrols.

I think it is nice work.

I agree. I actually like how it looks, but it begs to have a better joystick in there.

Thanks! Honestly, there isn't much room under there for many other kinds of joysticks, between the housings for those trackballs. I think the Universal joystick is better than some, but not the best. It feels tight to the touch, has a short throw, and seems to hold up pretty well.

While I think you did a good job, I've always been annoyed with the unevenness of those who modify these panels and put the one pair of fire buttons where the original Centipede button was, but then put the other pair way off to the side. Makes it look off-balance. If you're going to modify it, then either move the start buttons elsewhere and offset both sides, or put both sides on top of the trackball. Symmetry is best...
