Dropped over $20 in quarters in Arcade Redemption Games. I feel Dirty!
So the wife and I decided to go bowling. Havn't done that for a while, thought it would be fun. So we got there and I noticed they had an arcade section, sadly no MK's or anything from the 90's that I played alot at this Bowlarama.
So after we played a few strings we decided that we would try out some of these Redemption Games. Some were fun, but most were straight out take your money and laught in your face. The two games we both enjoyed the most were Red Hot and Tower of Power. Between those two games and atleast a dozen others. We easily sunk 20 plus dollars worth of quarters in less then 2 hours. I'm not complaining, but I forgot how fast the quarters could go.
Mind you, we did have fun. I have no regrets. Its just the first time in over a decade that I can seriously say I played any type of Arcade Machine that wasn't on free play.
The city I live in, hasn't had a real Arcade for over 6 years. I don't even thing there is one anywhere in the province. The best we can do is Redemption machines at this bowlarama or Studio 10 Theather. Best to that, i've seen a few 80's machines in ancient convince stores out in the middle of no-where. But they don't qualify as an arcade.
Just woundering if anyone has experinced a complete lack of a real dedicated arcade or even one that isn't soley redemption. Everything they had at the bowling alley was no older then 4 years.
Sad really.
