I spent the day swapping tubes, and finally decided to try a 25" tube.

I had a WG K7191 with really bad Dungeons & Dragons burn, so I went out and found a likely donor: a Phillips Magnavox 25" TV that I got at the Salvation Army for $12. It was a Phillips 25TR19 C121, and the tube inside was an A63AFW36X. Another member had some good luck with 1990's versions of this TV, but 2000 was the earliest I could find.

Pulled the tube and did some test readings...

TV--
Horizontal: 1.5
Vertical: 8.0

Monitor--
Horizontal: 1.6
Vertical: 9.8

The neckboard connector was a perfect match. Since some of the experts have said that the ohm readings need to stay within 3 ohms, give or take, I decided to try it. Success! The picture on the tube looks really awesome, and this one doesn't even need degaussed! I think I've got some faint 'jailbars' happening, but that's going to be a chassis issue, so it's probably time for a cap kit.

Check out the pictures!

It's so true, screen burn drives me mad!

At least now I can get rid of all these TV casings and spent tubes, and have my workspace back. If there is one thing I have learned from this experiment, it is that swappin' tubes takes a lot of space! :)
