Seems like there's been quite a few threads featuring racing games lately. I was wondering if there are any driving games that feature actual, real working analogue gauges? e.g. driving 90mph in game would show up on the speedometer as 90.

Turbo cockpits have a functional LED Tach. All the others have actual oil and vac gauges although they dont function, just look pretty.

Cruis'n Exotica has a functional LED Speedo if its in a dedicated cabinet.

Midway's wheels has an actual sun tachometer and wheels 2 has a simulated tach using lights behind the bezel.

The gauges on my Turbo cabaret have small PCBs behind them, which are wired up. However, they don't seem to do anything. Are they supposed to light up?

I have never seen a racing game with real gauges, but I haven't stepped into an arcade since the mid 90's, lol. I would love to have a super realistic racing setup like that some day though, if I ever have more money and space to spare that is ;)

Drag Race used a real tach... and you actually were supposed to use it.

I think I've seen in the schematics that Turbo is switchable between digital and analog gauges, I don't know if that function was ever actually used though, might be fun to try one of these days.

I've also seen someone on the internet mod a Turbo mini to use real moving analog gauges, but they were on a separate circuit from the game boards and didn't respond to gameplay.
