Right on. I see what you're saying. But I'm not trying to portray them as any part of a drive in movie theater at this point. I merely like the "old" look of them, they go well with the poles. I appreciate your opinion.....

What would look cool would be a loud speaker horn on the pole!

It would be awesome to make my own drive in on my property, now a days you can get a crazy bright speaker for cheap!

How big of a property do you have?
You can also use a low/medium powered FM transmitter(I even built a half way descent one) to transmit to the cars or portable radios for even better sound.
I was also thinking about the loudspeaker before I came across your post about it. If I had one, I would paint it neon orange like the Depeche Mode Bong symbol.
