Hi,

The machine I have has a bad PCB Board. When I power on the machine, I only hear a low sounding click of the coin counter and nothing else happens...no LED display, no lights (other than the 120V Fluorescent light). Dropping a coin in the coin mechanism does not cause the counter to increment. Is this machine too old to find a replacement board?, or should I just scrap the machine. I had bought it cheap for the kids because I thought the fuse was bad, but it now looks like the board is bad. Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Have you checked power to the board? It is very possible that the power supply is the problem and supplying correct voltages to the board will allow it to function properly.

Hey man, I'm picking a working one up this week, and I can get any info, pics, or readings from it you may need if that helps any.

Thank you for the advice and offer!!
I will measure the voltages from the power supply (I am not an electronics person, but will do my best) and post back. I had measured 5V through the circuit board, but will recheck the voltages out of the power supply.

I measured the voltages from the power supply and came up with the following...
The power supply connector has 8 pins.

Pin 1 (red) +DC goes to circuit board
Pin 2 (Black) DC common goes to circuit board
Pin 3 (White/Black) DC common goes to circuit board
Pin 4 (White/Black/Purple) +DC goes to Claw
Pin 5 (Orange) +DC goes to circuit board
Pin 6 (White/Black/Green) -DC goes to motors
Pin 7 (White/Red) Goes to circuit board
Pin 8 Empty

Measuring from Pin 2 to
Pin 1 - 12V
Pin 3 - 0V
Pin 4 - 35.7V
Pin 5 - 34.7V
Pin 6 - 17.5V
Pin 7 - 5.22V

Would this seem like the correct voltages?

Thanks!

Those look very similar to voltages I just read earlier. The machine was NOT functional however. The chips on the main board were warm, but no other signs of life. Not that warm chips are a sign of life. ;)
