Dreamcast/Jamma converter -anybody try this?

If it were me, I'd hotwire the controls off the control pads to the arcade buttons/sticks, then just mount a cheap 25" TV with S-video in there. Done deal.

But then again, I'm more cheap than lazy.

Seems kinda pricy. I'd get the xgaming interface board they use in their sticks and their adapter to hook it into game systems. That way you can switch to other systems pretty quick as well. Do that and figure out a good way to run the video and be done.

I used a Dreamcast with VGA adapter, video converter, amp and hacked controllers:

I sold that cab but now have a Blast City with tri res monitor and internal amp, so no video converter or external amp needed. Currently runs Dreamcast, Xbox 360, PC with MAME and real PCB's.

Great work man! Seeing Under Defeat in Tate mode on an Astro warms my damn heart!

I think I'll have to pad hack soon...

There are a number of tutorials online for jamma wiring consoles yourself. I believe the easiest are the dream cast, and Sega genesis.
