Would you guys pass up on your dream cabinet even if you had no room?

I am faced with a tough decision. As most of you know, I have been on the hunt for a Continental Circuit cabinet for some time now and have found one close to home, about 4.5 hours away. Price is a bit on the high side but the cabinet is in excellent condition. I am sitting on the fence since I don't have room for it and I dont know if I should pick it up and store it until I move to a bigger place or let it go.

As always, I would appreciate all your feedback :)

Thanks

If it was within my price range and was a/the grail, I'd grab it. I know nothing about Continental Circuit, are they hard to come by?

Do you have games now? If so, why don't you pick it up, move out and store a few games you currently have and then move the CC in?

Sorry for not being specific. I have currently moved out (been here in the new place for 3 months) and have 2 existing cabinets in my mini games room. Wish I had space for a 3rd but no such luck :-(

To answer the other members question, it's hit and miss with this game. I have seen none for the longest time and over the last few weeks I have come aross 5 or 6 of them. Of course in the US. This is the first I have seen in Canada.

Oh yeah, location can make it tough. Out of curiosity, what are the other 2 games you have? If this is your grail and one (or both) of the others are easily replaceable, I'd be tempted to clear one out if that is the only option. I'm personally against a storage unit, these games are meant to be played. *runs and hides* :)

LOL. The other 2 games are "Holy Grails" too. SFII CE Red-Z 3-Koam cabinet and my all time favourite, Chase HQ.

As far as I can tell, I think I can get the Continenal board working on the Chase HQ cab as they share mostly the same components. I just wouldnt be playing on a dedicated cab.

Oh what to do, what to do?

LOL. Like my office desk? I would in a heartbeat but need it since I work from home.

My games room is split into half office / half games room. Keep in mind I am living in a one floor apartment.

I was referring to a game, but if you're willing to sell off your first born in order to make room, then hey, post that sucker up on CL.

Out of room? Dude, my dining room houses a Virtual On right now because I wanted one and it was offered to me for free...the hell with no room, there's ALWAYS more room...if the wife/gf says no, you need to swap that one out and put vids and pins in the bedroom.

LMAO. I tried the living room thing and the G/F gave me the dirtiest look ever. Maybe I should give her engagement ring back or better yet, when I propose next month I'll stipulate that I will only give her the ring if the Continental take's the corner in the living room ;)

Well personally I'd invite my friends over, take the SFII out back and have a nice bonfire. Problem solved! :) But I HATE SF and MK. I bet all that garbage after SFII means it is rare/desireable/worth something, huh? :D

You're a jerk. Just kidding lol. I love my SFII and it is not going anywhere.

Here's a few photos of the small area I have to work with:

And this is the other side where my other 2 cabs are:

Do you have any friends that would 'store' it at their place temporarily? I have a bunch of friends that always offer to help me if I run out of room...

And, I offered to store 30FathomDave's Tron, if need be... For unlimited time. :D

You're a jerk.
I know that already. Hey I bet 3 cabarets would fit in there. :D I'd venture to guess that the MK cab is the easiest to replace and if there is something super special about the board, you could always get a "normal" one, keep your board and replace the cab later when you get a bigger place. Just a thought. But you're right, as the #2 and #3 things behind home counsels that killed video games IMO, MK and SF get no love...

I'm thinking if you are in Canada and found one in Canada, you dont have to screw with customs. That would be a + right there. If you have the money and this wont strap you, I'd say get it. You said it's in great condition too. That would be the selling point.

Purchasing it won;t strap me down what so ever and you're right, being it that it's here in Canada and I can leave tomorrow am and be back by the evening is a plus. I guess even if I store it I know it's there and I can rest easy. The tough part will be notbeing able to play it :(
