Dragons Lair - What's it worth?

Also remember that it's an entirely different market in the U.K. He may very well be more justified in asking more in that market (or not, depending on rarity over there).

go jamma+ and ask there.

arcadebarn gave one away,i actualy saw it at the new owners home while i picked up a cab.yes it was missing parts but the bits are easy enough to find in usa if you look in right place and even after importing and tax you still have a cheaper than £900 cab.

there was a faulty all complete one went for around £375 or near that a few months ago.the guy had many,dl2,2 dl's and a space ace.only the dl2 was a worker.

its that underwhelming the auction it didnt even make j+ ebay thread.cos noone gives a damn about it,its overpriced and its just, well its just a dl cab.
:)

This thread kind of confuses me. Usually we hear from all the UK guys how lucky we are that games go so cheap and mint condition games go for twice as much over there. DL is still considered a high end game here and goes for about $1200. Okay on this one converted cost at $1800 doesn't seem too bad but now some of you are saying DL cabs are given away or worth only a few hundred? Which is it?

Well first thing I will say is that in the UK, arcade machines are usual more expensive then the states. I mean we are tiny so there are less of these games around. But the reason I started this thread to ask if the machine was worth this £1399.99 ($2163). I wanted to know what people think as I didn't know myself. And wheres the best place for advice? :)

Now for less then this I could get a machine from the USA and get it shipped. I may do this but very busy at the moment. It's alot more time consuming then just driving and picking one up.

From my constant searching on eBay most classic machine start at silly prices because people who own a 'classic' think there worth loads. The most I have seen a machine go for in the past 6 months was Dance Dance Revolution 6 (or something like that) which was £2000+ ($3008).

Dragons Lair is a classic, and I would love to have it. It may be worth this price, we will see what it ends on :)

If it doesnt work out. I would sell you a Dragons Lair, I have 3 of them!! I think shipping would be scary though!!

Well in the end it didn't sell. He has listed some more machines do he must collect. And I wouldn't let something like that go for cheap even if it wasn't worth it. :)
