Collecting all the parts to pit back together a dragons lair. Still have to get the pcb, but looks like I need a serial cable from the pcb to the disc player? What cable is being used? Serial? I see mention also of null modem cables... In the post below they also talk about the wiring... Can anyone have a ready and let me know if the 1 to 1 pinout is correct?

If I remember correctly the connection on the main board pcb end is rotated 180 deg (the pin 1 marking does not go to pin 1 on the board). Have you found schematics? There are plenty on dragon's lair project. As for the cable, I'm not aware of any substitutes or reasonable self-builds. I can post pictures of you want as I recently worked on one.

Azurden,
The cable you need depends entirely on the laserdisc player you have and the conversion card (if any) you are using.

I sold you a PCB and a Merlin-8000 back in May. The Merlin board comes with the needed player ribbon cable.
You should have everything you need.

What's up?
