OK,now that I have my DL up and running what is the current fair market price for one?

Some specs-

Original dedicated cab game all original. Very good to excellent original condition. Everything was kept stock / factory with the working original Pioneer laser disc player. ALL circuit boards have been re-capped (Main logic board,NTSC decoder board,G07 chassis and neck board). New flyback and HOT transistor. Original linear power supply re-built with new filter caps, power transistor, socketed and new voltage regulator. Original ROMS and a set of enhanced ROMS. Cab is excellent, original CP overlay in good to very good condition. With coin box also. New replacement licensed side art was applied also.

I purchased it directly from an arcade in 1985 and still have the bill of sale, disc jacket and some original paper work.

I am more of a pin guy and toying with the idea of a possible trade for another DMD title or possible a cash sale.

Your opinions please-

$800-$1400 it sounds like yours is very nice. I would say yours would fall somewhere on the higher side!!

I have a restored Dragon's Lair. I was just offered $1,500 cash for the game along with my NOS Space Ace laserdisc. That is a great price, but I haven't decided if I am going to sell.

I bought my DL last year for $1200.00. It has the converter board to play Space Ace and has the limited edition DL disc. I feel a got a good deal since the guy said he spent double that restoring it. I happened to find it when he was looking for a quick sale.

I wouldn't let mine go for a penny under $1500.00. That is WHEN and IF I ever decided to part with it.

I have the DL Special Edition Disk and a Space Ace Disk as well. Plus one extra of every working part inside the machine.

Not sure if that helps or not ...

Great game, great cabinet, and I'd love to own one someday.. but not on my priority list for a couple of reasons.. can be expensive to fix/maintain, sensitive to move, and there are so many emulations of it out there (playstation, iphone, DVD player, Blu-ray, computer, etc.) that it's enough to feed my need.

That being said, I definately think a good condition DL cab is worth the $1500.. and I must say I have VERY fond memories of playing this cab in the arcade, and that alone is priceless....
