Dragon's Lair Drawer parts

I was able to get the game out yesterday, posting this in case anyone needs it for reference
the bracket below was in the tray. Is that used in this cabinet?

thanks

The filter retaining brackets on that drawer are much longer than in my cab and use 2 screws each side while mine use 1 per bracket. There is a Disk Player plate that sits on the vibration isolator grometts missing.

The vibration isolators are positioned for the PR-7820 laserdisc player. The feet of the player are removed, and bolts go up through the isolators into the where the feet were.

With the LD-V1000 laserdisc player, the feet are removed and a metal mounting plate is attached to the bottom of the player. This mounting plate then has holes set in the old PR-7820 locations to be bolted to the vibration isolators.

When a V1000 is removed from the drawer, the plate usually goes with it.

Thats interesting. My player slots into the holes on the plate that are mounted to the dampers so that when I take the player out the plate remains attached. The plate is fixed to the original dampers and there are holes for the LDV100 feet to register into. I never realised the plate was an effective adapter for another player.
Crappy image but all I have at hand. 8323114.jpg

I may have been wrong about the removal of the V1000's feet.
But the plate is supposed to be screwed to the bottom of the player so you can't just lift it out, and it can't move in shipping.
It's cool that you have yours. A lot of those plates were lost.

I think that's a monitor neck guard.
It's not part of the DL cabinet.
did the DL monitors use this neck guard? this DL cab has a tube but the chassis was missing.

@swood Is there a way to know which cabinets would have the plate? Mine does not. Maybe this info was out there previously (dlp forums) Serial No's above a certain number when production switched to using the LD-V1000. This particular cab that I have does not have a S/N label on it. By any chance, is the number inscribed elsewhere on a DL cabinet?

@PaulOglesby I tried blowing up the picture but I cant tell how the plate is attached to the damper?
seems the plate could be easily reproduced if needed. @dutchman?

thanks guys!

The serial number is pressed into the wood of the upper back panel.
It's usually very hard to see unless the lighting and viewing angle are just right.

Only cabinets that came with an LD-V1000 player need the plate. That's at serial numbers above about 5000.

An easier way to tell is to look for the laserdisc "lock-down" hole in the front kick plate under the coin door.
This hole was needed for the first run PR-7820 player. The side of the player has a screw, when tightened, would lock the disc spindle for transportation.
So, when you first received your shiny new Dragon's Lair, you would have to insert a long thin screwdriver through this hole to unlock the disc.

If your cabinet has this hole, then it is an early production with a PR-7820 laserdisc player, and would not have or need the V1000 plate.

Yeah mine is actually punched into the wood sort of top leftish at the back. Check there. Mine is 07416.IMG_4069.JPEG

Here is a picture of the serial stamp...

This is the upper panel from my own cabinet. The serial is LD-07922. Ignore the 6394 that some OP put on there.
Next is a closeup of the stamp near the top...

Here is the guard installed in my cab. The keen eyed will notice a transformer hiding in the background. It was retro fitted by the importer in the UK to feed 110V to the player from the 230V mains.IMG_4070.jpg
