Dragon's lair 20th anniversary cabaret

Uncovered a little history. The developer of this cabinet is credited as Systems99 and not Ultracade. The company was founded by Howell Ivy. Doing a search through the trade magazines he is credited for many early games by Ramtek including Clean Sweep, Trivia. As some might know by the name, Howell went on to work at Exidy and create Death Race and a number of other titles for the comany before moving into executive roles for companies such as Sega.

Doing some more digging into these cabinets it seems there were little to no distributors for these. An archive of their website shows they actually sold these online via paypal no less. This game could have possibly been (inadvertently) one of the first arcade titles exclusively sold online.

So it gets weirder than merely a bug-gut yellow cabaret sized Namco-esque box is what you're saying-
I like it even more just for its misfitty-ness.

Interesting; we might have another connection. Is this a cabaret size? It looks a LOT like my Pac-Man's Arcade party cab that I just picked up. Different coin door, but the cleat in front on the marquee is the same. The CP held on with only 4 Phillips screws is the same. I can put some better pictures of the cab in my thread:

The Dragon's Lair are bundled in the same cabinets that Namco used for All the recent Pac-Man iterations including the Reunion, Arcade party and Red-Bull Edition. These cabinets were made by TLC industries.
