Added a Dragon Spirit to my line up of Pacmania and Galaga 88.
I honestly dont know a lot about this game - but the cabinet and artwork is pretty cool.
Marquee translite is burnt (someone mounted a light bulb in the marquee area).
Game should clean up nicely...

Great vertical JAMMA game. Shooter like 1943, Raiden, etc. but dragons instead of planes. Never seen a dedicated cab like that and it's clean! Where do you find these games?!?

is that cabinet like Atari's system 1 cabinet that raodblasters, Indy jones, Marble madness, and Pack rat Pete built in???? looks like the PCB access and coin doors look the same.

Very nice!

I picked up a Dragon Spirit myself a few months back from a person on here. Had a ram error (easy fix), few minor scuffs and the marquee has 'yellowed'.

It was one game a played a crapload of at our local arcade, and one game that has killer audio!

Fucking tough game. Awesome sounds/music and I'm a fan of the feel of those logo joysticks just not fixing them :)

I have a PCB but can't seem to get ahold of an original cab. I keep finding them for sale sitting in someones back yard in the rain where it's been for who knows how long.

I've got one too, it's a great game and really challenging.

Anybody know if the dedicated came with the Atari logo stick? Mine has a generic stick, but I have a logo stick I was thinking of putting in, just don't know if it was supposed to be stock.

I'm pretty sure they did.

Cool beans -- that's gonna be an easy fix! Now if I can just find one of the cool bezels with flames like the one at the top of the thread. Mine has the stuff at the bottom, but no cool flames around the top.

Hey Flynn54321, what serial is yours? I Mine is #UR00255 -- I wonder if the flames came early and were phased out, or added later in the production run to improve the game's appearance?

Fun game, but after a couple of levels when you die and lose your power ups you're screwed (or maybe that's just how it always works out for me).

Mine has the flame bezel as well...

I remember finally getting to stage 9 on this and getting a sigh of relief. Well, not so... this has to be one of the most grueling stages in any game! There is just tons of sh!t coming at you w/ no reprieve. And if you die w/ no powerups - you're screwed!

To this day, still haven't beaten it w/out cheating. Could never could get past the dark-looking dudes w/ the swinging mace. Impossible w/out the flame!

I worked in an arcade and I remember them bringing in a brand new Dragon Spirit wrapped in cardboard. Was only 1 of 2 games I ever saw unboxed in front of me. The other was a MK3.
Played the crap out of Dragon Spirit every day before opening the arcade.

I was never able to beat the game. A friend of mine got closer than I did.
I always thought of playing it in mame and turning cheats on just so I could finally see the ending after all these years.

Very tough game. Yours looks incredible!

Anyone here have or have played the sequel Dragon Sabre? I found an old, water soaked D Sabre cab in a locked trailer a few years back. Only salvageable part was the marquee. Would love to find either one for my collection, though I did miss the opportunity to buy a D Spirit locally about a year ago. Still kick myself for passing on that one.
