Does anybody else think these two are great schmups? I always see list of great shmups and what not, and fairly often these two are never mentioned. For anybody who hasn't played these two; they have some of the best audio in a arcade evar!

I find Dragon Spirit getting harder and harder to find especially since they use the same cab as Galaga 88 and Pacmania which seems like to be the more *vogue* games to have and play..

It was unfortunate that Saber was a just a conversion kit. I can only imagine how cool it would've have been and more popular if it came in it's own dedicated cab.

Yes. Although they are stricken with a plague that will cause most of
the more vocal klov dwellers to jeer -- they were produced post-1984.

Sadly, the last time I got to play DS the joystick only moved in 4 directions,
making it too difficult to enjoy.

I love Dragon Spirit. Used to play it at the ski lodge during lunch for one winter.

i used to play Dragon Spirit on the NES and i was surprised when i played it in the arcade and realized that it was virtually identical.

and while i like DS, i still think Galaga '88 is a better game and i won't be converting my new Namco cab back to DS.

Did yours have the Dragon Spirit side art?

Have any of you guys able to win this one credit? I usually can get to level 9 and absolutely get my ass handed to me. Everytime I get to the second part of this stage, golems with swinging mace, I have no powerups and pretty much self explanatory.....

Did yours have the Dragon Spirit side art?

i think it might, but it's buried under a thick layer of shiny black oil-based paint that'll probably be impossible to remove without destroying the art.
