I was pretty excited that I got to play a few games of Drag Race this weekend. I'm going to guess that the last time I played it was around 82. I've been looking for one for the last 5 or so years so when I saw this one show up I jumped on it because it rarely seems to happen here on the west coast.

It had board issues and a couple of the corners were broken but nothing time and money couldn't fix. I've repaired the corners and got an almost working board from Oryk Zinyo, close enough that I can play it. It still needs some parts sanded and painted and I have to find a way to either replace or fix the tachometers but it's cool I finally got one.

I Thought I'd share a few pics

Woah, last time I played this one was at the Wooden Nickel Bar back in '81 or so. In fact I think it was still Hank's Bar at that time. That brings me back. Very nice.

It kills me that I didn't have 300 bones when that honey hit craigslist. It couldn't have gone to a better home than Blinddog. Cool cat, cool game.

Awesome
Never played the arcade, but I played the shit out of the atari 2600 version
Very cool!

I thought about you as soon as I read this post. As in "how did Freebeer NOT pick that up?" Great that it went to another KLOV'er.

So how heavy is that baby? Looks like a good 400lbs from here.

Congrats on a nice score, that and Stunt Cycle would be so sweet together.

Wow that thing is in great shape! Let me know if you need help with the board repairs. :D

It's really not that bad. If I was to guess I'd say closer to 300lbs. It is built exectly like the sprint2 and it has a lot of empty space inside.

That is awesome. I freaking love Atari B&Ws

Any chance we can get a high res photo of the sideart?

I'll snap a better picture of the sideart when I get home tonight.

I'd totally forgotten about that game! I remember playing it as a kid, probably around the Lake of the Ozarks area.

Nice score!

Here are some close ups of the side art. The flash seems to have highlighted the touchups I did. It would be great if someone would reproduce side art for this game I could definitely use it but I don't think it's going to happen.
