Dr. Victor Frankenstein's Monster Arcade

It looks like they spent alot of time and money to build that thing... kinda cool actually, BUT... what the hell are people thinking when they do ALL that work and then set the X-arcade standard control panel on there! How hard would have it been to drill some holes and transfer the guts over to the control panel on the brand new machine?!

The top/bottom size difference makes it look a bit odd, but other than that it looks really really nice. Except that x arcade. It looks like he tried to make the graphic on the top of the x arcade match the cab but to then leave the t-molding/edge/whatever stock? I think if he'd done that copper rivet edging thing on the x arcade it would look way less out of place.

Oh great.. took my name I was gonna use for hosting my Halloween party this year.

BTW - Pretty wild design there. Diggin' the Frankenstein!

one of the coolest themed mame cabs I've ever seen. My thinking is the same as all of yours, get that damn X-arcade panel outta that thing and get a little more creative with it. Other than that, props to this guy, I couldn't do anything like that in a million years.

Its Awesome!! I would have drilled holes, and transfered the x-arcade guts ove,r as Karl suggested. But the rest is very cool:cool:

The big top kind of mirrors Frankies big head, that's kind of cool. Like I've always said, he built it from scratch so I'm not gonna complain about anything. At least he didn't take a Stargate and bolt a box onto the front of it or anything.

I actually really like it - that would be awesome to have at a Halloween themed arcade party. But as others have mentioned, why would somebody go to all that work to make a cab and then just stick the X arcade control panel on it?

Interesting to see all that nice woodwork and the x-arcade just slipped in. Kill the x-arcade and drill some holes! BTW I love x-arcade DIY kits, easier than ipac or keywiz because you don't have to strip and crimp, the only thing is that there are no shift keys for pause and esc, etc.
