Friend of mine has a Dr Dude that has suddenly started showing waiting for pinballs when started up. It also does not recognise end of ball.
I thought a faulty microswitch but i have beep tested them all and they seem to test open and closed ok.
What next?
Thanks.

Test the trough switches in switch test. I suspect they probably won't be registering. The switches themselves may be good but A wire could have become disconnected somewhere breaking the switch matrix.

i agree with lindsey

it isnt seeing the balls sitting in the trough, i have seen 2 dmd era pins recently that had gotten a factory quality check sticker lodged in the trough switches, was simple!

look at the obvious!

this also explains the neverending ball, or eos

when the ball drains the switch in the trough isnt registering it

if its not the above described decal issue

then look for broken wires or some othe obstruction
