I might be picking up a dr dude. Has anyone played this? I am going out of town and found one that I could pick up on my way. It is a project and currently isn't 100% working but I am willing to pick it up if it is a fun game. The price is right on it as well.

I have watched a few videos on you-tube but it is hard to tell if something is fun from watching a video.

Any comments would be most appreciated :)

I LOVE Dr. Dude.

It's a System 11 game, so of course I like it :0

I think it is a really fun, fast game, with great shots.

I would certainly buy one given the chance.

i've never played one (never even seen one), but the playfield images look awesome:

Dr Dude is a fun game. Had several over the years. Expect some broken plastics and some playfield wear on the usual average condition game. Not a very deep rule game but overall its a fun game.

The Dr. is a cheesy FUN game. Cabinets are usually faded and the plastics can be hard to find. The "Big Shot" figure is usually busted as well. Like was said earlier, not deep, but a fun game to play for a while.

I'm definately going to tell the guy I want it. Now I just have to hope he will hold it for me for a few weeks until I can drive up to pick it up!

I have it too,but it's not from the easyest pinballs, and it's fast.A little big than normal center hole, and no kickback. But I like it ,because is not easy pinball, precisely shots I mean.Music and sound are very nice.I like the music when green(magnet) targets is colour.

It's a cute game....a real love-letter to the 80's. Gameplay gets a bit old/easy. Shoot each colored area 3 times, shoot the ray, multiball...repeat. Not a lot of flow (similar to Elvira & The Party Monsters...pretty much every shot gets stopped). I really like the music (Gift of Gab song cracks me up). Don't think it lasts long in a "player's" collection, but it's cool for what it is.

If you get it, don't put it in a dark corner. There is so much going on at the top and not enough gi lighting, you will lose the ball and it will scream for the out hole.

Other than that it is a fun game. I've played several of them over the last couple of years (I don't own one) and you will pobably need to tinker with the toys once you get it. There are several places up under the ramps that the ball can get lost, especially if the guide wires are bent or plastics are cracked.

It's not a "great" or deep game, but it's fun. Kinda typical play for a System 11. I like it mostly for the artwork, sound, and decent layout/features.

Most I see are not faded, usually the cabinets are nice. Playfields have been all over the map. Average ones have a small amount of wear or discoloration. I've seen some that have been touched up but due to the price of the game they are not usually touched up "well". I've seen several with really nice playfields, too.

I always keep my eye out for one due to the art/sounds, good play and generally pretty low value. I like the 80's stuff. :)

Someone in MD apparently picked up one of these recently, I can't believe they haven't chimed in. Or is it supposed to be a secret?

Sadly I don't think I'm going to be able to get it. I was going to pick it up on my way to Minnisota in a few weeks but the guy isn't going to hold it for me. If anyone is in the Sioux Falls area here is the link to it. Great deal I think at $400 plus it comes with an extra play field.

Personally, I think the sequel, Party Zone is a much better game.

I figured that was the one you were talking about and had thought about it. I'm looking for my first pin but I'm not sure that's a project I'm ready for :(

I just picked up a Dr Dude and haven't gotten past the garage... It was in MD and is in ok condition..I do love the looks of it. I had to repaint the legs and replace the levelers before I felt comfortable setting on my carpet LOL..Is there a way to touch up and clear the playfield near the flippers???? I will get some pics when I get it setup..
