This game was a "rescue puppy". It was just sitting in a woman's backyard for years...color was faded badly and the ramp had melted in on itself. The mylar was totally hazed, and many of the inserts had turned crusty brown for some reason. Part of me thinks I should have just left this game alone and saved myself the time - but the other part of me felt it would be a shame to let a machine die. Thankfully the electronics were pretty good...some burnt connectors, but everything was more or less functional...it was just getting it clean and looking decent. Luckily, an RGP'r had just parted out a Dr. Dude and sold me his ramp!!! I wish I took more "before" pics - but here are some showing wear spots that I touched up:

Here are some touchups. Since this game was never going to be "collectors quality", I wasn't too anal about these touchups ...not my best work, but certainly it's better than what it was:

Party Dude (and some black and white stuff) touched up:

Full playfield re-mylared...game cleaned, fixed, put back together:

So - it's not a perfect game....but when just looking at it and playing - it looks pretty respectable. It's back in the world of "living pins" ...that part of the process is rewarding.

just when i thought you were a far left wack job with no talent whatsoever, i am proved wrong

nice job on the rescue. did i say nice? i meant excellent, dude

out of curiosity is the game a WPC-89 or system 11 ?

Looks AHHHHHHsome!! (sorry...)

Gotta love how that game just gleams when it's all cleaned up.

Yeah, it's too bad the florescent colors are faded on this one...that really makes the game pop. I tried to bring them back using highlighters...but that ink is just too weak and wouldn't "stick" ...although the yellow worked OK on the "Bonus Booster" strip.
