Doubt this Mame monstrosity would fit through a double door

Only 3,200$ for a Mame cabinet that would barely make it into a 2 car garage.

They definitely put a lot of money into it. $3200? No. But I actually think the control panel looks halfway decent. Its not overly cluttered and the layout makes sense, except that blue joystick in the mid-right towards the top. Thats strange. That being said, the marquee is absolutely horrible.

cut the joysticks off and you could almost use it as a buffet/snack table.

put the napkins, cups and plates where the LCD is.

Besides the ugly graphics all over the cab, it doesnt appear that bad to me. The control panel is pretty mild for mame. The price is insaine of course, but... I guess its worth what someone is willing to pay so if its too high no one will buy it. (I dont expect anyone to buy it)

I don't care for the artwork, but that actually isn't too bad. Looks like it is only about 8 inches wider than a normal cab, and a little shallower, so it would fit through a regular door fine. I think this is about the size of some of the new Silver Strike Bowling cabs.

I was thinking about using a 32" TV on mine, but decided to copy the Silver Strike Bowling pedestal cabinets instead. I am using a 46" TV mounted to a wall instead.

MAME cabs are money pits. I have way more money into mine than any single game in the garage...including STTNG. With a new custom cabinet and TV plus a few new controllers, I think I have added that purchase price to the cost of mine in the last year. Hopefully when it is finished, it will be exactly what I want this time.

I've been wanting to do a MAME cab to sell to people.. but i can't think of a single design people wouldn't hate on lol!

Since it's a brand new cabinet I don't have any problems with it. The designed it to be like that instead of hacking a huge control panel onto an existing cabinet.

These guys are bigger on the hyperspin forums. They also do virtual pinball setups.

I'm not a fan of a lot of their artwork but personally I don't have a problem with their cabinets. I think the 7 button setup for mame is better which some of their cabinets have. Why that isn't standard I don't know. Past that they seem to use quality parts(even the tv at least is a visio which I know isn't the best but at least not a no name brand). Also everything is new including the dell computer.

If anything the lack of a coin door bothers me. Just doesn't look right to me without it since I'm so use to seeing them.

I will say I do like the virtual pinball setups they sell. I would love to have a virtual pinball table myself since I don't have the room for a bunch of pins. I know it isn't as good as the real thing in a sense but I think the multiple games would make up for it.

I'll give you all another reason to "hate" me. I think that thing kicks ass. Obviously, it can fit through the a door sideways because the cabinet is quite thin from front to back. Maybe the CP has to come off and if designed properly, that would take less than a minute.

The blue joystick is obviously a 4-way for a right hander.

If it has a good scan line generator, the graphics could be very nice even on that 32" LCD.

You guys just don't like to see one machine that puts your entire collection to shame for any one who's not a hard core collector. Not everyone has to waste hundreds of hours to have something worth less than a third they have into it. I know that's the norm around here, but multis have their place.. just like collectible originals.

To me, this ripfest is just like someone posting a Mustang ad from a Ford board on a Camaro board and generating an arrested development feeding frenzy.

I hope they sell a bunch of them.

I think it's a pretty nice mame machine considering most of the mame setups I see for sale on CL around here. I wouldn't be embaressed to have that as my mame set up.

People talk about its size but if you read the description they ups the control panel separate if you have it shipped so yes you are right it shouldn't be hard to fit in.

I know others don't like the wide screen lcd as well but hell you don't really have a choice at this point. It is big enough to give a good 4x3 setup in the middle of it as well.

Don't get me wrong I do like these type setups, it is nice to see someone doing them well vs the usual crappy conversion of some cabinet. Personally I think I'd do a pedestal if I was going to get one though.
