Ok, I have a 1981 Omega Products Double Up poker.

It works but after a couple of games it will go to a single question mark graphic in the middle of the screen. I have a spare board but the spare board doesn't even boot.

Anyone familiar with these machines? Anyone have a manual?

Normally with a broken video poker I would just rob it for the monitor and part the rest of it out, but this one is dedicated and very much in mint condition so I would like to get it going right.

Cross posting this to the repair forum as well, since I wasn't exactly sure where I would get the best response about this machine.

Good luck finding the manual.

Does your board have a battery on it? Is it original?

May not help, but I had a CEI poker (which I think bought Omega out) that was only a few years newer. The wiring was very touchy- i had to constantly reseat them. There was also a way to enter the "setup mode" by pushing a sequence of buttons. There might be a post on newlife games about it.

Both of my boards have capacitor looking batteries on them. Neither have leaked.

Were you able to get it working, I believe it might be a PROM issue. What are the numbers on the top of the EPROMs in your board. it should be in the format of XX.XX. I may be able to rewrite them for you in an attempt to fix it. Also are you willing to sell your second board that does not work? I am looking for a project and thinking about reverse engineering it.

Omega products began for only amusement with there 905/922 boards, then they changed their name to CEI to produce the 904, 903, and 906 boards for gambling. The different boards are much the same but very different as well
