Hello all,
Just found a bunch of old Double up poker games by a Co. called Omega. I have turned on all of the games and get the same thing. Just a screen that wants you to input a coin. When you push the switch on the coin mech the game flashes coin stuck and just beeps. My question is this. The boards have Tadiran Lithium batteries that are 3.6 volts. Do you think that if the Batteries are bad it would make the game show a coin stuck warning? And does any one have the dips settings for this game. Can it play for FREE? Thanks for your help.

poker sw

on games like this the game pcb only allows certain amount of micro sec. for the sw to be activated, try flipping the sw lightning fast and maybe the game will work ok

that will let me play the game, but as soon as the coins run out it will do the same thing. What is the fix? It is cool to see the game work. Thanks! It would be nice to figure out how to get them to work. I have enough parts for three games.

I guess you're trying to get an attract screen? It might not have one. If it works when you drop quarters in, that just might be the way you have to play it...

With the experience I've had with slots/poker machines, the hopper needs to be filled or a tilt message appears.

Best suggestion is to find a manual and see if the sensor can be switched off.

No it has an attract screen, but when you try to coin up any of the six games that I have it just comes back as a coin stuck. It flashes and beeps then stops after about 30 seconds. One of the machines will come up with a Question mark after it is finished beeping.

Good advice, but they don't have a hopper. The coins just fall into a bucket. they are older games 1981 I think. I just want to save what I can. It's fun to see them working.

anyone have a manual for this old game?? :) By the way on the check list inside the door one of the check off items is make sure the cat is not inside. LOL

Check the coin switch. If it has a diode across any of the lugs, try cutting one off...

Sorry no diode across the lugs. I also tried a new switch just in case. They all do it that's why I thought it might be the lithium batteries on the board.

i had one of these games and it had a dollar bill acceptor hooked to it, it wasn't able to take coins at all...might have to bypass the coin mech somehow...i was never able to find a manual either, never knew what the dip switches were for, so i never messed with them

coin up

some of the older games used 3 sets of wires going to the coin switch. It used the NO C and NC of the coin switch. The coin going threw toggled the 2 wires between the common. The coin in circuit had to see a break active break active to work. I find this alot on the wall games and kids rides were the coin box is not part of the cabinet. Keeps people from pulling the plug in coin box and using a bobbi pin to short 2 of the contacts out.
