i discovered that my double dragon PCB has the following image issue...
It plays fine, sounds fine... but the picture is sitting to the left of the screen and seems to be shrunk about 2 inches on the right. I've rebuilt the monitor chassis and that.s not the problem because when I plug in another game it plays fine. I also tried this game in another cabinet... same issue... sitting left of center and seems like there should be 2 more inches on the right for the playing area. Pics tomorrow. any ideas?

IMHO, the TIATO boad is displaying the picture on the screen a off-center, on the Monitor(s); and, the monitor(s) may need to be adjusted when using the board.

I've PM'd a few members with way more Monitor experiece than me about this.

(My buddy has three CAPCOM boards that are doing somethig like this rigth now with a few of his monitors. What we're doing is putting the game's TEST Menu: Cross Hatch screen up on the Monitor and then adjust the monitor's Veritcal Position Pots and the monitor's Horizontal Width Coil until the all the corners of the Cross Hatch screen are in view.)

But, some early games, like DD, don't have a Dip Switch Test Settings for a Test Menue: Cross Hatch Screen, so you may have to eyeball it when adjusting the monitor.

I've done all I can do with adjusting the monitor, save for making a jumper and changing the resistance of the horizontal pot.
All my other boards work fine in this cab. It even does it when the DD board is placed in other working cabs.... same thing, sits to the left. I will try to post a pic later.

Does it look like this?

You need to adjust your horizontal position pot on your monitor chassis. The image will not fill the screen, but you can center it with the horiz pos pot.

Oh, you CAN get it to fill the screen, but to do that you'll need to adjust the monitor's width by changing out a mylar cap on the chassis.

But if you do that, then you cannot correctly display OTHER JAMMA boards you might plug into the cab. So, it depends. If you're planning on leaving the cab dedicated, then you're fine. If you want to be able to swap boards, you'll have to live with the pillarboxing.

Now this is going to sound silly... how do I do that? I have the verticle width adjustment and horizontal width adjustment on my GO7-CB0. Which pot do I need to tweek to move the horizontal position?

On a G07, the horizontal position is selected by a jumper. You have to power down the monitor, move the jumper, and power up.

I have tried that... moves a wee bit but not enough in my opinion, maybe I need to do some other mod to the chassis to be able to do this?
I seem to remember a bob roberts article on something to do with cap 303? or something like that?? correct me if i'm wrong.

in other words is there a way to get more adjustment then factory settings... which seem so minimal.

If it was to be dedicated monitor chassis what mylar caps need replacing... Just so I know for future reference, and for those who might look up the same issues later on. Is there a tutorial anywhere for this?

Thanks again

On your G07, it's C515.

In my opinion the picture will look too stretched if you enlarge it so that it takes up the whole screen. I would suggest leaving it as it is, the game is supposed to look like that and it would be a shame to make the monitor incompatible with other games.
