Ok so I drove down to Texas yesterday and bought a double dragon cabinet from a fellow board member, and when I was about twenty minutes away he calls and tells me the cab now has no sound. It was working perfect at his shop, but after he moved it to his house to meet me the sound stopped working (music AND sound effects). We were obviously both a little bummed but he was nice enough to knock off fifty bucks.

Ok, this is the weird part. I open up the drawer to have a quick poke and jiggle with the wires, and i twist the volume pot on the board as loud as it will go and start to hear CNN or some such crap through the cab speakers! We had a good laugh at that. Very weird. no game sound or music but it was picking up either a tv or a radio signal. I have it at home now and haven't had that happen since, but still no sound. I've been lookin for a loose wire and I reseated all the ROM chips. Thats where I'm at so far.

Your thoughts?

It's not uncommon for an amplifier to pick up a nearby radio station, but I agree it can be amusing when it happens. Check your voltages.

I think its more odd that CNN got picked up in texas at all...thought they outlawed anything that isnt fox news there..

Ive checked voltages and the only thing odd is my -5. im getting a negative 13volts. holy crap. any ideas? By the way i dont know if this is stock but inside the coin door there is an extra volume potentiometer. guessing like n overdrive/amp or something. voltage reads the same no matter where i position this though

My Hustle cabinet does the same thing. Picks up Catholic talk radio loud and clear if I check the voltage on a certain pin on the power supply. However mine is stranger in that it doesn't even have any voltage exiting the power supply at all, it gets lost somewhere inside, but can still somehow turn into a radio anyway.

well now that i have the cab home i don't get radio anymore, but i still have no sound. just some humming if i crank up the volume all the way.

I put a new power supply in and now my voltages are great, but still no sound. I'm pretty bummed. looked over the board real good and didn't see any obvious broken solder joints.

What should i do? Is there a good wiring diagram for the sound path on this board? Anyone know what I should try next?

anyone? I don't want to make another thread to get someone to read this.
