<Full disclosure to those reading, I'm the one who sold the board.>

Hi Al... Sorry for the troubles. The boardset was working fine when shipped, but sadly sometimes a cross-country trip is just what's needed to screw things up.

A couple of questions... are you using the individual plugs for the wiring or an edge connector? Secondly, is the bootup stopping at this error? Or is it booting into the game (with or without problems)?

Given your a self-described "total-noob", I personally suggest against indiscriminately reseating ICs. With the customizations on the DOuble-DK board, you run a higher risk of screwing something up (breaking legs, screwing up sockets, etc.). 6R is a soldered in chip and may or may not be the solution to the problem. Maybe someone has a simple solution, but likely not.

My suggestion... just box it back up and send it back to me. I'll refund your money and the cost of shipping back. I'm happy to do so assuming you don't start messing with it and potentially causing more issues.

I'm wondering if one of the daughter boards got dislodged in transit. You may want to take a look and see if they both appear to be firmly seated in their sockets. If you choose to reseat them, please just be careful when removing them and then make sure that all legs are properly aligned when reseating.

I know very little about the diagnostics on that board, but the fact it isn't booting makes me think it might be related to the CPU (which is on one of the daughter boards).
