Last night, my daughter somehow got my DDK board into Settings Mode and changed both DK and DKJR to Unlimited lives.

I have no idea how she got into that menu and figured that out, but for the life of me I can't get back into that menu.

I am sure it is something simple, but I couldn't figure it out and I don't remember what the instructions were from when I bought the board years ago.

Some part of me wants to leave it on unlimited and practice a bit, but it just isn't fun to play when you know you do not have a finite number of lives ... BLAH.

Anyone?

When I turn mine on, it has a screen that says something to the effect of "press p1 start to enter settings or jump to exit menu". Something like that. That is the first thing I see when I turn it on. My kids set mine to unlimited lives too. I just had to go and set it back to 3 the other day to play a little.

I'm still debating if I want to get my DK Jr board modded with DDK or get a dedicated DK cab . I don't know why but I cannot decide what to do .

It was a no-brainer for me. There is no way I would be able to deal with DK using DK Jr's sounds for run and jump....

Sorry to change the subject a little, but does using the AS board solve "all" of the problems with sounds being wonky? Also, is it an on screen menu driven GUI. I would like to have all four games, I just know I will be happier with a simple dedicated original if I have to put up with something being flaky.

Yes.... the AS board has fixed the run sounds.... and it's menu driven.... good stuff for sure.
