I am looking for help with my Double Diamond (IGT S-Plus) machine. I am not able to get the machine to respond and I don't have much experience with these machines. The machine turns on and the lights come on but the insert coin does not light up and it does not accept quarters. The credits/winning display also does not display anything so I don't have an error code.
The following is what I have tried to this point with not luck.
1. All connections and fuses were checked to make sure that they were seated.
2. Looked for anything under the motherboard that could have caused a short.
3. Replaced the 10mhz MPU board with one that was supposed to have been tested and had a new battery installed and reset the dip switches. I tried to clear the machine (I am now stuck in a error code 61 loop when I tried to reinstall the game play eprom). The reset button for the MPU also does not do anything when I press it for 5 seconds and nothing is displayed in the coins played display window. I thought the machine was suppose have a zero when I tried to clear the machine but I don't get anything to display or respond to clearing. so I am not really able to clear the machine. I tried this with the original MPU board and get the same results so I don't think that the MPU board is bad. I also have two clear eproms so I don't think that they were corrupt.
When I have the game chip installed and use the reset key it looks like I can get the accounting information to display so I don't think the display is bad.
I am wondering if I now need to replace the motherboard or if there is something else that I should try in order to get the MPU to clear and the machine to respond.

Thanks for any input or help with this
