Was looking through the list of games to download on XBL and noticed DOT on there for $5. The cool thing about it was that you can go one on one against other people on XBL. Made me think about how cool it would have been if you could have linked two DOT together and played head to head in the Arcade BITD.

It's OK, but the game is just not the same without the DOT joystick and spinner. Agree on linking 2 games together, that would be sweet! Could you imagine linking two EDOT's together in your home arcade? :)

Yea, I have a few games downloaded off XBL. Joust, Smash TV to name a few. But DOT caught my eye because of being able to play it against other people. I think this is the way the game should have been made to play in the first place. Just picturing two EDOTs linked together Nose to Nose in an arcade back in the 80's would have been badass. Would have given you that face to face feel. Kinda surprised they never did it.

I thought about that before. Having 2 EDOTs linked together and the other player is Sark using a red DOT joystick!

Ok, someone with multiple edots get to work and start splicing wires! :)

Unfortunately you don't play against each other over Xbox live. In the online vs. mode you see you opponent in a separate window and he plays his own game while you play yours. Whomever wins their individual game wins overall. Sadly it's a bit of a cheat. Several other single play games have the same style "vs." mode and a similar Co-op mode where it just tallies both games individual scores. One interesting exception on Xbox Live is Robotron. On that game there is a co-op mode where in an online game one player controls the avatar and the other controls the firing; actually kind of fun.

I didn't actually play the game. Was looking through the list and seen the game. It mentioned Multiplayer on it so I figured thats what it was. Kinda stupid that it turned out to be a side by side game like Tetris. Such a waste.

I've had it for awhile. A little better than Tron, which is near impossible to play past a few levels...you just can't move fast enough.
