I have a HS Getaway that is having issues with the display.

All the lights are good and work, but during the gameplay and attract mode the display does not always display the correct lights.

While I can still play the game, it does make it hard to see your score and play the video mode part.

What is required to get this corrected? My initial thought is to pull and clean any of the chips on the boards. I did check for loose connections and that is not the issue. I have attached one picture that shows the issue. Now it is not always a vertical line, but shows that there are lights lit that should not be.

Thanks for the replies. I already had it fixed a few minutes after I posted.

Not sure which cable was loose/dirty, but I removed each of them and reconnected. Looks good so far.

If it happens again I'd replace the ribbon cable. You can get one from great plains electronics fairly reasonable.

Or replacing it. I've seen that many times before, it's the last couple strands of cable on one side. One time when I was on a call, I had 3 cables all with the same trouble. I took two apart and pulled a quarter of the wires off each side and made a new one from the to middle's, it hasn't had a problem since.
