just in case anyone in the area has been living in a cave or under a rock, Dorky's is open at 9th and Pacific in Tacoma and has a pretty good selection of games. they've been open since September or October but just got the ok to serve food. next up will be the liquor license, hopefully in the next few months.
i stopped in this afternoon to see how things were going as i hadn't been there since they opened. the games i can remember off the top of my head, though i know i'm missing quite a few:
Pac
Ms. Pac
Galaxian
Galaga
Robotron
Joust
Defender
Wakko
Arkanoid
Asteroids
Spy Hunter
Star Wars
Battlezone
Jump Bug
Donkey Kong
Donkey Kong II
Donkey Kong III
R-Type
Moon Patrol
Bubble Bobble
Space Invaders
Mortal Kombat II
Revolution X
they also have 10 or so pins including Dirty Harry, Pirates of the Caribbean, Cyclone, DE Star Wars, No Fear and one of the Pinbots.
everything i played was in pretty good condition with the exception of a really suck-ass joystick on the Ms. Pac. i ran in to the famous world-record holder John McAllister while i was there and chatted for a few moments. he was working on a pin, then going to do some repairs on a few of the games (DK was down and they have a bunch in the back awaiting expansion of their space.)
open Mon-Sat, late on weekends, closed Sunday.
