Don't you wish your Dentist as a kids had this waiting room!

Here are my kids in the waiting/play room for their dentist. I have been taking them to this dentist for a few years. It is awesome, totally kid friendly, and the parents can watch everything. Just an awesome place overall. The room has 2 60-in-1 cabs, Golden Tee, Off Road, 2 Game Cubes, Playstation 2, 3 megatouches, and a bunch of Rube Goldberg like machines/toys. The kids get a token at the end that they can use in vending machines to get a toy. And they get a ticket to enter a raffle to win either a movie pass, target gift card, itunes gift card, and something else.

Nerdygrrl told me that Jedidentist has some machines in his waiting room. Curious as to what he has.

WOW! A BIG RED X!!!

:)

My dentist doesn't have any games, but my crazy eye doctor sure does!

When I was a kid, my dentist had two games in the waiting room: Ms. Pac Man and Frogger. I always looked forward to going to the dentist. My current dentist has magazines.

Yeah any waiting room I ever been in had old picked through mags. And the Tv would always be on the worst channel with no option to change it. Then add in screaming kids. LOL

wasn't tim watley the dentist on seinfeld that had penthouses in his waiting room cause it relaxed patients?

Minus the cars that is pretty much what the dentist I take my kids to is like. I can't imagine how much money be invested into the office. He and his partners are totally into making a great experience for the kids and keeping kids teeth healthy. The first time I went I was expecting that the cost would be more, but it is less than I paid at other generic dentists. It is a kid wonderland, there are TV over the exam chairs that pump kids shows, I can't even begin to describe how great the place is.

Here is their web site, which hasn't been updated since they totally renovated their office and made it a million times more awesome. My kids actually get realy excited about going everytime.

wow...the Pennsylvania office is AMAZING! I think the cars are a fun idea but take up a lot of space. Still, it gives the kids something to look at and probably climb through.

Nice selection of arcades too.... a f'n FOOD FIGHT too.

Way to go on making an old sterile and scary experience something fun for the kids.

They should franchise that thing!

The dentist i go to has two games pac-man stand up and galaga cocktail.Fun to go there and get the high score most of the time.

Our dentist didnt have any games, just a big bowl of candy and a bunch of national geographic mags from the 60's.

Similar thing here... NPR on the radio (with the 1970s announcers that sounded like they were on horse tranquilizers) and National Geographics as magazines.

No candy bowl, though.... just a giant cardboard treasure chest of toys that you were allowed to pick one of after your appointment was over.

It's good to see dental-arcades still exist. Growing up we switched insurance at one point and thus dentists. Our original dentist just had half-decks of playing cards and torn coloring books. Then we went to this other place which had a bunch of games. I remember there being Choplifter, World Series: The Season, and 5 or so more. I didn't even care that the hygenists there were idiots, I just wanted to go play video games!
