I have to remind myself of this, from time to time.

With two young kids in the house, and a full-time job, I only have a few hours a night to spend with my DK Junior. Those hours are usually spent cleaning it up, researching some issue here (check out my WTB - Nintendo Sound Amp), or implementing what I found here. Sometimes, I forget the entire reason I bought this thing: to play it!

Now, I'm not great at DK Junior, yet. By most standards, I'm not very good at all. And yet, I'm having fun getting better.

Anyhow, I posted this as a reminder to myself as much as a note to the rest of you. Don't forget to play your games!

Dude, no kidding. I usually only find a little time on the weekends or possibly late nights to get in a game or two.

It's funny how much effort goes into finding and restoring/fixing these games and how little goes into playing them.

As time goes on, I hope that changes and there will be less fixing and more playing. :)

But there is no better arcade feeling than when you get time to play, drop a quarter in, and beat your personal best high score.

I've found I have absolutely no interest in playing my games unless someone is over... And then it's like crack rock.

Otherwise, the well is dry. Kinda depressing. It's a nostalgia fix for me. I never realized how much of a competitive element there was until I realized that solo play is kind of boring... :(

Awesome

"EVERY Sunday I have friends over and play over beer, food, Nascar and/or Football"

That is awesome. When I get mine looking just a little bit better, I plan on having a party for my friends to check out the cab. I'm the only one of the group with anything like this, so it should be cool.

My brother-in-law has played, and we have a bit of a competition going for high score. Def. a motivation for me.

Wow! I feel the same way! The arcade is much more fun when someone is there with me enjoying it as much as I do!

At least once daily usually before bedtime I flip the switch's and try to play a game or two on each machine...except Atari Football....because I'd have to wake someone up to play with...I don't like playing with myself.....:p

I find it hard to play my games.. with all the new junk in front of them. But I manage. :)

I wish I played more.. But that would require me to actually 'fix' them. :D

It's hard to find others that will play. Toobin' is no fun without the double trouble!
