dude got some balls messing around with the high voltage anode like that, bare wirings exposed, stuff dangling everywhere! and not to mention he keeps the power on during all the voltage shorts/spikes! ouch!

I've never seen a monitor arch like that. That dude is so lucky he fixed it.
 
I must admit I am as confused as he is as to why it was arcing. I'm guessing the Ebay diode he bought wasn't quite what he thought it was ?

I've watched tons of his "repair" videos. I especially like his comment early on that he has never played a video game. He is a trip for sure.

Every so often you can see his reflection in a tube and I swear I can see a tin foil hat. If nothing else he seems comfortable working around HV even if his methods are unorthodox, he was able to get it working.
