I'm restoring a William's Moon Patrol for a friend and due to termite damage, I'm now looking for a donor cab... preferably located in Texas.

The only other option is cut off the bottom end of the cab and replace it all with new plywood.

That option (cut and replace) works great. @p1001 is a master of the technique using a track saw. Others just use a clamped guide rail.

Add a few biscuits to each joint, line up the correct thickness plywood, and skim with a little bondo, and you're set.

Or just use popsicle sticks and hot glue if you're so inclined.

With termite damage?

I think I'd go more "scorched earth" than that. Slice until you see no more tunnels, then biscuits and apply the new material.

You miss one, you will regret it.

Yeah, it's a shame that the Moon Patrol cabinet he picked up has termite damage because the original stenciled side art is in great shape, but I told my friend that the termite damaged had to be cut out just like cancer. It must go!

So, the plan is to start looking for a donor cab and in the mean time, I'll cut the termite damage bottom off and see exactly how bad it is. I told him If I can save enough of the top and my last cut lands below the William's logo in the stenciled side art, I could build a new lower half and try to color match the cabinet's blue color. Either way, it's going to be a major project that's going to take some time.

Thanks for the info about joining the sides with biscuits and using a track saw.
