Good afternoon,

Came across a Donkey Kong. Gentleman says it's all original, but I dont see any side art. He is wanting 950.

Is it worth that, and are there any other questions I should ask?

Thank you for all your help?

Missing Side Art
Wrong jump button
Wrong Joystick
4 holes drilled in the front speaker panel
Sanyo will need to be capped if it hasn't been recently
Marquee light is probably burned out
Needs new t-molding
Needs new lower bezel art

It would be really nice to have a look on the inside to ensure the original, Sanyo CRT, PCB, Power Supply, and harness are intact.

All that being said...his price is actually about right. The above items are very easy to fix.

As long as the rest of it is there and original, then yes...the price is about right.

I'm sure others with disagree but Nintendo games are worth more than most people think right now. And DK is obviously popular so the price is about right. Not a bad looking machine, honestly.

Tell him you won't monkey around on the price and refused to be barreled over. People like puns.

people like cash more

I like puns and would listen to negotiations from some one trying to use puns. Most people like cash more, if the game is close enough go check out the game, go in person to inspect the game. Let him know you would be willing to purchase for $700-$800 and start laying the $100 bills on the control panel. If he objects, present the facts that Yeti brought up, then shut up and see if he will agree. No need to bring up reasons for why your offering less unless he refuses or asks why. Definitely be polite and possibly be ready to pay the $950.

Always worth a shot to negotiate.

$700 good deal for you....

$950+ good deal for him

Somewhere in the middle is fair me thinks...

As an update, I am going to go pick it up saturday. I noted what was needing fixed, and we agreed to 800. I think I am getting a decent deal, considering the lack of available arcades in my area!

Just a little advice since this seems to be happening at the auctions a lot lately. Ask for a pic of the inside and make sure it's not running a 60 in 1 set to play just DK.
