I have had this donkey Kong cabaret a few years and finally got around to attempting to repair the board.

Ended up replacing all the 24 pin and 16 pin sockets on the boards. Game fired right up except for one issue. The colors of the girders and ladders are incorrect in the first level and on the springs level as well. Fireball level is fine.

Girders are blue and ladders are yellow.

Anyone experience this before? I don't see anything on the braze site that narrows this down.

I did see one post with this issue, though @pc10builder didn't post an update if they got it fixed.

Color issues like that immediately make me think a bad color PROM, but I'm not an expert on DK boards, so I can't say for sure.

So another thing I noticed is in attract mode. All the text is white on the high score table. I'm leaning towards the color proms as well. Also the attract logo donkey kong doesn't flash blue and white. It just stays a static blue. I don't really know what the color proms do though. All the moving sprites are the proper colors.

So the saga goes deeper on this one. I'm looking up the schematics to try and probe around to see if the color proms are bad and all the schematics I'm finding don't match the chip labels on the actual board. So after doing a little digging I realize this is a TKG2 boardset. So this boardset was factory converted from radar scope to DK at some point. I'm kind of at a loss as to how I can repair this with no documentation.

Is it this set of schematics: https://www.arcade-museum.com/manuals-videogames/D/DK-TKG23_CPU_-Schematics.pdf (from the manuals section on the DK KLOV entry: https://www.arcade-museum.com/Videogame/donkey-kong )? It's been a long time since I've looked at a 4 board DK stack, but from those schematics, the color PROMs would be 2J and 2K on the CPU board.

Otherwise, it looks like @JamBurglar scanned at least some of the schematics for it in this thread: https://forums.arcade-museum.com/threads/a-rare-donkey-kong-schematics-manual.352475/ , though the links are dead... I'd drop him a PM to see if he can send them to you.
