Hi Guys,

Looking for some help/guidance on this issue. I currently have a double dk but I want to swap in an original dk board. I have one from another machine but when I plugged it in, all I got was a black screen. My dilemma is that the wiring harness on my cab has been modded to just one harness (instead of the original 5 or 6 that go to both boards.) Any idea if I'm missing an input somewhere? When I dug around my cab, I noticed my monitor cable is different than what the original dk cab has (has a jumper between the flyback and video board, then goes to a colored harness.) Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

DK came in 2 versions... the one with all the wires, and one with just one.

You ahve the "just one". As long as you get a 2-board DK board set, you will be fine... you will have to transfer the ribbon cable in the 2nd picture, but is should totally work...

Thank you so much! I assumed that the ribbon cable between the two boards was custom for the double dk. I'll test it out again with my other board later today.

No prob.

FYI, that ribbon cable supplies power to the 2nd board (not needed when you have the harness with all the wires as one of those takes care of it.

The 2nd board is the video board, so that would explain the black screen. no ribbon cable, no power. no power, no video. :)
