Nintendo Donkey Kong in a very nice original cabinet with only new side art and t molding installed. Everything else is original. This is the early TKG3 cabinet with 4 board stack without the trademark info on the panel, marquee and bezel. Game works 100% plays great. Has a beautiful crisp picture on the original Nintendo burn free monitor. Includes original manual and back door sheet very clean inside and out. Price is $1800, located in Ventura, CA. Might also be open to trading….a few I'm looking for are a cabaret Rally X, Kickman, Venture, and nice Pengo upright.

I don't wish to rain on any ones parada, and want only to provide accurate info for all klov members, the info can be verified by googling {history of donkey kong red cabinets}. the original donkey kong cabinets were red, not blue. I believe someone installed the genuine early verson motherboard, marquee, bezel, and control panel overlay ,which are original parts of the first donkey kong verson, into your blue cabinet. the blue cabinets had the 2 piece motherboard installation. nice looking DK. good luck with your sale

I think you are thinking of TKG2 cabinets, which were red. The TKG3 cabinet listed by the OP appears to be original and dedicated.

That's not accurate. I've owned an original red DK as well. Not to hijack my own thread, but here is some more info on the different DK cabinets for anyone who is interested. The Radar Scope conversions are TKG2. All of them are red. Many early TKG3s are also red but started life at the factory as Donkey Kong's. Before long you'd start to see blue TKG3 cabs interspersed in with the reds. By the time they revised to TKG4 (the 2-board stacks) all cabs we're blue.

What a classy reply.

I can 100% vouch for the fact that there were both red and blue TKG3 Donkey Kong cabinets. Per the linked thread, we've kept spreadsheets on the various TKG3 Donkey Kongs and there are many verified TKG3 blue cabs. Aside from both red and blue variants, there are very few hard, fast rules about the art and parts on these cabs. These TKG3 cabs were made early in the run (likely with games flying out of the warehouses) and there are all types of variants in artwork and parts. Many early cabs had black transformers but there are a number with gold transformers. The copyright info on the art was all over the place from the very beginning (multiple variants). Very few of these early cabs are in this type of clean, unrestored condition.
